Privacy Policy

Who we are

Fairway VS LLC (“Fairway VS,” “we,” “us”) provides the Fairway VS app and website and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions about privacy go to privacy@fairwayvs.com.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your first and last name, your email address, and, if you choose to add one, your phone number. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see it. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a sign-in identifier from that provider.

If you turn on Face ID sign-in, the check happens on your device. We never receive biometric data.

Profile and league information

As you use Fairway VS, we store:

• Your handicap, an optional Venmo link, and a profile photo URL if you set one
• Your league memberships and roles
• Trip RSVPs and poll votes
• Draft picks and match pairings
• Hole-by-hole scores, and the stats and history built from them
• Settle-up ledger entries: amounts, and who owes whom
• Posts organizers make in Updates

Device information

We store a push notification token for your device so we can send you notifications. The app doesn't collect usage analytics.

Trip pass payments

Organizers pay for trip passes through Stripe. We receive the payment status, the amount, the organizer's email address, and Stripe reference IDs. We never receive full card numbers.

Our website

The fairwayvs.com website uses Vercel's cookieless analytics to count page views. Our website host also keeps server logs of requests to the site.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Run your leagues and trips, including drafts, scorecards, the scoreboard, stats, and history
• Send push notifications
• Process trip pass purchases
• Reply when you contact us
• Find and fix problems with the app and website

Who can see your information

Members of a league can see the profile details shared with that league (your name, handicap, and Venmo link if you add one), along with scores, results, and posts.

Organizers can see members' contact details so they can run the league.

Service providers

We use these providers to run Fairway VS. They process information on our behalf.

• Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging): sign-in, data storage, server-side processing, and push notifications
• Apple: Sign in with Apple and push notification delivery
• Google Sign-In: signing in with a Google account
• Stripe: trip pass payments
• Vercel: website hosting and page-view analytics
• Google Workspace: email

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information.
• We don't show ads.
• We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account exists.

When you delete your account, we delete your sign-in account and clear your email address, phone number, Venmo link, and push notification token from your profile. Your name stays on past league results so other members' history stays intact.

You can delete your account in the app or by emailing privacy@fairwayvs.com. See delete your account for the steps.

Children

Fairway VS is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email privacy@fairwayvs.com and we'll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email privacy@fairwayvs.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is material, we'll also let you know in the app.
